TUNCO

-OUR STORY-

We are four Norwegian guys that want to make and serve tasty food, while giving the first job to refugees, ex-convicts and others that struggle to find a place in the job market. But that is not all! For every meal bought at TUNCO, a meal is given to a child in need in the tiny village of Mikindani, Kenya. Through the project “lunch buddy” run by our partner organization, Star Of Hope, we help giving school children one meal a day.

Masala Magic

-OUR STORY-

When I moved to Norway as a child, I brought with me the Indian food traditions and flavors I grew up with. My vision since then has been to make Indian food as popular as pizza, pasta and taco.

Masala Magic is my dream-come-true. I have created a line of Indian products now sold in most grocery stores. I have written two Indian-recipe books, created food-making courses, lead several food-trips to India, and created a blog. Recently, I opened a catering service where I employ newly arrived Indian women that are becoming proficient in the Norwegian Language and give part-time opportunities to students.

Kompassmat

-OUR STORY-

We stand for unfiltered love for food and people. We take care of the food which stores and wholesalers do not sell and we process these into beautiful flavors and dishes. We think smartly in terms of utilizing surplus food, as well as using traditional cooking and preservation methods. Everything can be used.

In collaboration with Kompass & Co’s youth program, we also create jobs for young people who somehow fall outside the ordinary school and labor market. The youth receive training in the circular economic principles when it comes to excess food and food waste issues. This gives them a competence within the green shift.

Many believe it is impossible to make money from having a triple bottom line as a business model. We believe this is a prerequisite.

Drive Me Nuts

-OUR STORY-

After moving to Norway, I was a job seeker for almost four years. In 2016, during a camping trip in the woods where I found myself eating a lot of junk food packed in too much plastic, I realized that there was a need for healthy, organic and plastic-free, good snacks.

A few months later, I founded Drive Me Nuts. Drive Me Nuts has been possible thanks to Moving Mamas (A non-profit organization that creates opportunities for immigrant women in Norway).
